Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 August 2026

These Terms govern your use of ActivityProof at https://activityproof.site ("ActivityProof", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

ActivityProof is a web application that lets you connect a GitHub repository, preview a shipping-status badge, and publish a live SVG embed on your product site after a one-time payment. We render a signal from linked repository activity (for example Active, Steady, Quiet, or Live since a date). We do not audit humans, verify revenue, or certify that a product is safe or successful.

Attribution inside embeds is along the lines of "via ActivityProof". That is branding for our renderer, not a third-party verification claim.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@activityproof.site if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Plans and billing

  • You may create an account, connect GitHub, and preview badges for free. Public live embeds require a paid plan.
  • Basic (€9) is a one-time payment for one project that can go live.
  • Pro (€29) is a one-time payment for unlimited projects.
  • Basic customers may later purchase a one-time upgrade to Pro when offered in the dashboard.
  • Prices are shown in EUR. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
  • These are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. There is no recurring charge unless we clearly introduce a new product and you opt in.

4. Refunds

Because purchase unlocks digital access to publish live embeds, fees are generally non-refundable once a project has been set live, except where required by applicable consumer law or for clear billing errors. Contact support@activityproof.site if you believe you were charged in error.

5. GitHub and your content

To compute status we need permission to read repository metadata you select through the GitHub App (public or private repos you install). You retain ownership of your product, code, and website. You grant us a limited license to process commit activity and related metadata solely to provide the badge and dashboard.

You are responsible for which repos you connect, what website URL you set on the embed link, and whether the public badge remains accurate when you stop shipping.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • abuse the service, scrape embeds at abusive rates, or attack our systems,
  • misrepresent ActivityProof as a legal, financial, or security audit,
  • use the service for unlawful content or to harass others,
  • resell access to the service as a white-label product without our written consent.

We may suspend accounts that clearly abuse the platform or create security risk.

7. Availability and changes

We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change. If we discontinue a paid plan in a way that removes live embeds you already purchased, we will give reasonable notice by email where practical.

8. Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or decisions visitors make based on a badge. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for ActivityProof in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Privacy

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country apply and cannot be waived.
